The Base Maintenance Representative is accountable to the assigned
Base Station Maintenance Manager. Base Maintenance Representative
will manage, oversee and supervises maintenance providers
performing the repair, overhauls, inspections, modifications, and
refurbishment maintenance on NetJets (NJA) aircraft at his/her
assigned locations. Ensures the timely completion and return to
service of aircraft maintenance and is accomplished in a safe,
quality, cost effective, and is in compliance with all applicable
Federal (FAA), State, and Local regulations; as well aircraft
maintenance performed meets the requirements of NetJets policies,
and procedures (GMM). Will ensure all documentation is reviewed and
meets the standards of FAA Part 43, 91, and 135.429/135.439/135.443
regulations and NetJets GMM and updates the NetJets Computerized
Tracking System to ensure there are no overdue regulatory
requirements prior to A/C release.
50%: Provides management oversight and support of NetJets aircraft
maintenance at assigned locations ensuring that all maintenance
tasks are completed in a safe, quality, cost effective, and timely
manner. Will ensure the proper planning, and accurate planned
durations. Will ensure and update the status of events in the
NetJets software programs and accurate. For scheduled maintenance
events, will perform a NJA acceptance review and audit of aircraft
prior to release. Will review aircraft interiors and exterior
aesthetics and when necessary coordinate the repair in order to
meet or exceed NetJets standards. Will provide approvals for
repairs, overhauls, and Manages and controls the approvals or
expenditures related to the maintenance by providing
approval/disapproval for repairs, overhauls, inspections,etc. and
tasks completed by vendors.
25%: Ensures Regulatory Compliance by ensuring that the NetJets
General Maintenance Manual requirements for aircraft undergoing
maintenance are followed and when applicable IAW the NetJets
CIP/AAIP/EPMP. Will review and verify all required maintenance
documentation is received by Maintenance Providers, and that all
documentation meets NJA General Maintenance Manual standards and
applicable FAR 91 and 135 requirements. Will accurately enter into
the NetJets Maintenance Tracking system to include discrepancies,
and part transactions. Confirms that all time tracked components
and scheduled inspection items are reviewed, and tracking properly
in the NetJets maintenance Computerized Tracking System per CFR
--135.439(a)(2) prior to aircraft release and that there are no
regulatory maintenance tasks overdue. Ensures that maintenance
providers performing Required Inspection Items (RII) per CFR
--135.429(a), are authorized to do so. Ensures that the signature
of the individual performing an RII's inspection is verified by
reviewing the RII Authorization list. Ensures maintenance providers
performing Airworthiness Release per CFR--135.443(b)(3) for
aircraft having 10 or more seats are appropriately rated. Ensures
that the signature of the individual performing the Airworthiness
Release is verified to be current by reviewing the Airworthiness
Release authorization roster.
10%: Ensures OCF lines are in IJET and aircraft are released only
when all documentation is received, reviewed and approved. Ensures
weight and balance documentation is reviewed and forwarded to the
proper departments for updates to IJET.
10%: Will ensure appropriate and accurate levels of material
inventory are maintained and communicated to the NetJets Materials
Department. Will reviews and approve the invoicing for maintenance
work at his/her assigned locations to ensure accurate billing and
proper payment and warranty claims are completed.
5%: All other duties assigned.
Education Level: Associate's Degree
Type of Credentials/Licenses: FAA Airframe and Power Plant
Related Work Experience: 8-10 years
- Must have 8 years recent aircraft maintenance
- Two years of experience directly related to aircraft
- Knowledgeable of FAR 43, 91, 135, and 145.
- Knowledgeable of Aircraft Inspection Programs
- Five or more years experience with turbine powered aircraft and
- Knowledge of Aircraft Quality Control programs and
- Knowledge in cost control, invoicing procedures and dispute
- Experience with maintenance tracking software systems and
- Working knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to sit or stand for an extended period of
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more.
- Some travel may be required
