Job Description Title: Fleet MaintenanceClassification/Job Grade: HourlyLocation: Battle Creek, MIDepartment: Fleet MaintenanceSupervised by: Manager Job Summary: Prairie Farms Dairy, Battle Creek operates as a dairy manufacturing plant and distribution center that covers the whole state of MI and some of the surrounding states. We make dairy products that are then distributed to retail outlets, warehouses, hospitals, correctional facilities, retirement homes, food service warehouses, schools and colleges throughout Michigan. We are looking for an experienced Fleet Mechanic 2nd shift (4:00pm - 2:00am) Must have Diesel Mechanic experience. This is a great team to work with! $29.75 - $42.00/hour plus shift differential!!Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for maintaining refrigerated storage trailers and transportsMust have knowledge of diesel engine repair and diagnosticsMust check oil, coolant levels and belts on refrigerated trailersPerforms preventative maintenance on trailersMinor repairs as neededFollows all company policies and procedures regarding GMPs, SOPs and Quality standardsEffectively utilize time available to achieve results through prioritizing demandsMaintains an air of professionalism and communicates effectivelyDemonstrates problem solving and decision making ability, as neededMust demonstrate proficiency in essential tasks of the job and a willingness to learnOther duties as assigned or requiredWork Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
