- Executive BenefitsEssential Functions:
- Perform annual and semi-annual preventive maintenance and
repair service work on water cooled and air-cooled chiller systems
including cooling towers and pumps.
- Perform annual and semi-annual preventive maintenance and
repair service work on High- and Low-pressure air compressor
systems including cooling towers and pumps.
- Pump rebuilds and alignments with a laser.
- Conduct audits to identify where system and operational changes
can be made to improve system performance. And evaluate secondary
machine manual operation.
- Actively review, observe, and monitor equipment function and
operation.
- Air Compressor maintenance and rebuilding. Oversight of major
repairs and startup coordination.
- Conduct centralized utility system evaluations and make
recommendations so operational improvements can be
incorporatedRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA)
- Possess hands on skills and knowledge to complete required
repairs and maintenance on a variety of chiller manufacturers, air
compressor manufactures, cooling towers, pumps, motors using
industry standard tools and in accordance with all codes, laws, and
regulations
- Possess knowledge of codes, laws, and regulations affecting
pharmaceutical manufacturing operations with the ability to
articulate any deficiencies and make recommendations to remedy such
deficiencies
- Knowledge and ability to disassemble large machines. And make
precision measurements.
- Familiar with computerized maintenance programs (CMMS).
- Troubleshoot and repair large chillers ( > 1000 ton
machines).
- Ability to effectively use computers and computer programs
(including use of Microsoft Office Suite), skill in use of the
internet to navigate to and use web-based applications, and ability
to use handheld electronic devices.
- Possess excellent communications skills, both written and
verbal
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language
including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition,
and grammar
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer
and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment,
meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer
satisfaction
- Cross training to support utility operations and maintenance.
Working Environment:
- The position is plant based and supporting various locations
within a specified campus
- Will require daily interaction with local engineering teams in
person, on the phone, and via email in order to perform the
job
- Weekend and overtime work as required.Minimum Required
Education:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in commercial HVAC service and
repairs with a focus on hands-on chiller / air compressor repair &
maintenance
- Successful completion of vocation degree program,
apprenticeship, and/or comparable work experience
- Possess Universal EPA Certification
