REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Advancedskill in problem-solving techniques and methods of root
cause analysis. Positive attitude and good communicationskills.
Lead by example and have verygood coaching ability.
Demonstratedadvanced problem solving skills to develop and
implement improvementideas. Working knowledge of Productionsystems:
TPS, lean manufacturing,KANBAN, 5S. Ability to manage
multipleprojects and activities at once. Be ableto develop
department goals and objectives from long and short term
companyvision. Understanding of TS and ISOsystems. Effective verbal
and writtencommunication skills. Good MS Officecomputer skills
(Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
Injectionmold & HVAC experience is a bonus.
Supervises, coordinates and evaluates the work ofcross-functional
teams or department of exempt associates by coaching,counseling,
conducting performance appraisals, empowering and involving
groupmembers, and solving any conflicts that may occur within or
between teams.Accountable for budget of the responsible section.
Ensures that areas / teamsare receiving proper support to meet
targets. Prepares weekly reports toManager on staffing, deviations
from production targets, and down-time.Provides direction for
problem-solving activities for cross-functional teams.Works towards
finding the correct root cause and directs implementation
ofcountermeasures. Keeps Manager informed of current trends and
problems in thedepartment in a timely manner. Working knowledge of
production equipment,processes, and methods. Ability togather,
summarize, and integrate information and make recommendations.
Coordinates activities to develop andimplement safety improvement
activities. Schedules and monitors workload. Assists in the
development of budget.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job you may be asked
tointermittently sit, stand, walk, lift or carry component parts
weighing up to35 pounds-lifting parts in excess of 35 pounds with a
lift assist, use hands tohandle or feel parts, reach with hand and
arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk andhear, use close vision,
distance vision, color vision, depth perception,peripheral vision,
frequent phone use and keyboarding.
MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS(MUST meet minimumqualifications to be
High Schooldiploma or G.E.D. equivalent and a minimum of 3 years
supervisory experience orproject leadership experience.Must be
acurrent Team Leader or above.
