ABILITIES Foresight - Identify issues ahead of time to reduce
impact toDENSO. Must use learning experiences toprevent or limit
future impact to DENSO, including assessment of rootcauses.
Collaboration - Positionworks with Customers, Suppliers, and many
internal parties (W/H,Production). Must build strong rapportwith
colleagues, and use strong negotiation skills to ensure best action
taken.Credibility - Information accuracy and strong logic required
to ensureinformed decisions are made. Positionincludes many
decisions that have impacts to costs including line downtime,backup
packaging usage, and more. Musthave experience with: CIGMA,
Microsoft Office (Excel, Power pointspecifically).
DUTIES/RESPONSIBLITIES Packaging Management: Track inventory
statusand manage returnable and back up packaging systems using
CIGMA and RFID. Set and Maintain Inventory policy with inputfrom
Packaging Engineering (PCE), supplier and customer. Includes Empty,
Full, and Backup packaging on the DENSO campus. Track packaging
systemsclosely to ensure good flow of packaging, reducing backup
costs. Arrange expedites as needed to ensurepackaging availability.
Investigatepackaging shortages and analyze the overall flow of the
packaging through hesupply chain. Collaborate withinternal/external
customers to drive resolution of shortages. Evaluate Advanced Build
requests, determiningand reporting impact to packaging. Workswith
PCE and Vendors to develop delivery schedule for new systems,
identifyingdelivery location. Manage excesspackaging. Includes
transportationto/from DENSO campus, inventory review, and phase out
(re-purpose, relabel,recycle/dispose, report on Fixed Assets).
Manage daily packaging maintenance and repair requests,
includingupdates to customer systems to ensure reimbursement and
cost tracking. Manage the packaging clean/inspection/repairprocess,
ensuring Customer requirements are met for each pack. Support
departmental budget allocation forAnnual and Revised Plan.
Includespackaging replacement, backup, storage, cleaning,
inspection, maintenance, andtransportation. Customer Specific
Packaging Management: Daily tracking of customer packaging receipts
and management of dataflow within customer electronic systems.
(CRATES, CLIPS, RCM, Etc). Proactively collaborate with Sales and
Customer to dispose of excess orobsolete packaging. Attend customer
specifictraining as needed. Customer expendablereimbursement:
Prepare and process the required data to initiate
reimbursementclaim. Follow up as required until theclaim is paid.
Maintain KPI trackingmaterials to visualize the progress and
improvement. Supplier Specific Packaging Management: Daily tracking
of customer packaging deviations forapproval/denial. Collaborate
withplanners and supplier to minimize cost impact. Address systemic
issues and shortages by confirming inventory levels andadding
packaging as needed. Monitor conditionof incoming packaging (as
needed) and enforce Supplier Manual. Includes spot checks at
Suppliers, andapproval to deviate from Supplier Manual as needed.
Supplier expendable reimbursement: Trackmonthly charges and pay to
Suppliers based on approval/denial process. Maintain KPI tracking
materials to visualizeprogress and improvement. Projects and
Kaizen: Plan and implementvarious projects developed by associate
and PC. Support standard packaging for all TAC affiliates,
including challengesthis causes to packaging logistics. Review
packaging system days calculations, considering methods to
reducecost without causing shortages. PHYSICAL DEMANDS& ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties ofthis job you may be asked to
intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift or carrycomponent parts
weighing up to 35 pounds-lifting parts in excess of 35 poundswith a
lift assist, work on the production line for short periods of time,
usehands to handle or feel parts, reach with hand and arms, stoop,
kneel, crouch,talk and hear, use close vision, distance vision,
color vision, depth perception,peripheral vision, frequent phone
use and typing. The work environment will vary from an openoffice
setting to a production environment. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (MUST
meet minimum qualifications to be considered) Bachelor Degree in
SCM, ISM, or related field OR 8 yrs. sameexperience in lieu of
degree OR Associate's Degree 4 yrs. same experience OR 7 years
