Job SummaryAs an Emergency Department team member at Corewell
Health, you'll play a vital role in providing top-quality care to
our patients. Under the supervision of an RN, you'll perform
delegated patient care tasks and be expected to meet all
established competencies. You'll be a vital part of our team,
making a real difference in the lives of our patients and their
families.Essential FunctionsCollaborates with Education Specialist
in the delivery of the orientation and other in-service/educational
programming.Functions as a clinical expert and provides ongoing
professional support and feedback to EC technicians; maintains open
and on-going communication with management.Perform routine and more
complex patient care procedures.Communicates and keeps licensed and
professional staff apprised of current patient status.Documents
accurate, complete and concise patient health
information.Inventories, organizes, orders and maintains
appropriate equipment and laboratory supplies.Serves as liaison
with other departments, staff and external emergency personnel for
problem resolution.Functions as a team lead for emergency
preparedness at the operations level.Collaborates with Education
Specialist in the delivery of the orientation and other
in-service/educational programming.QualificationsRequired
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 6 months of relevant experience Requires a minimum six months'
exhibited performance as a nursing assistant or other inpatient
caregiver experience, paramedic, EMT, urgent care caregiver
experience or a Nursing Student (preferred completion of a Medical
Surgical rotation).
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association
Or
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross.Preferred
