Summary of Responsibilities Contribute to continuous improvement
tasks and initiatives in areas such as lean manufacturing, process
capability improvement, internal manufacturing and quality
processes and systems, problem solving / resolution, and
compliance.The requirements listed below are representative of the

essential functions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop
an understanding of material flow, production processes, job duties
and responsibilities of production (i.e. Operators, X-Ray Techs,
Material Handlers, S&R, Cycle Counter, Technicians, Tool & Die,
Maintenance, Quality, etc.), and each stage of the production
process. Perform ongoing internal quality system and production
processes audits and provide feedback to Management regarding
performance of the system in efforts to continually improve.
Identify, assess, and evaluate all existing and active standard
work (work instructions, processes, procedures, etc.), by
department and departmental job, tasks, and processes, for
accuracy, alignment of standards and requirements, compliance with
quality standards, and the impact on how the job/task is performed.
Utilize a variety of methods to assess and evaluate standard work
and processes, including observing performance of job/task as
compared to documented process, interviewing key stakeholders (i.e.
employee performing job, Team Lead, Supervisor, Engineering,
Training, Document Owner, etc.), working with cross-functional
teams, etc. Maintain clear and detailed documentation of
assessments and evaluations of standard work and processes,
including disconnects, failure to follow process, updates/changes
that need to be made to standard work, etc. Assess and evaluate
compliance to all safety and environmental rules, regulations,
policies, and laws for all jobs, tasks, and responsibilities and
that they are accurately documented and explained within the
standard work. Work with Engineering, Quality, Production, and
Training to revise, update, and/or develop and implement standard
work processes and documentation. Be prepared to recommend new
policies and procedures, in compliance with quality standards and
customer requirements, per the purpose and scope of the assignment.
Work collaboratively with the Training Department and Production to
train employees to new/updated processes, work instructions, and
standard work, and assist in all related activities. Communicate
effectively with all company personnel, at all levels, in a
professional and respectful manner. Attend and participate in
department meetings, plant meetings, and training as required to
perform job tasks and responsibilities. Perform other duties as
assigned. Qualifications Able to demonstrate understanding of how
manufacturing and quality processes and systems as well as job
performance affects product quality, production efficiencies,
industry compliance, and customer satisfaction Excellent oral,
written and interpersonal communication skills Must be a team
player and promote a team approach to problem solving Highly
organized and able to ensure multiple action plans are completed
Must be able to understand written instructions Understanding of
Lean Manufacturing tools, concepts, and practices Strong computer
skills required._ Education and Experience Required _ _High school
diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred_ Currently pursuing
a degree within Industrial Manufacturing Engineering or related
field. Junior (2 years remaining before graduation) or Senior (1
year remaining before graduation) in college preferred Training /
education in problem resolution such as 6 sigma, and/or lean tools
a plus Work Environment Combination of office and manufacturing
plant, with an emphasis on manufacturing plant. Must be able to
perform all essential functions as appropriate on the plant floor,
in meetings, and with employees of all departments, management and
suppliers Provide support for three shifts and weekend production
schedule Must be capable or working under pressure, may be asked to
work flexible hours in order to meet internal requirements Other
