Works under the direct supervision of the Behavior Health Manager and indirect supervision of the Medical Director or designee but is independent in the application of job responsibilities. The primary responsibility is talk therapy. Provides care through a variety of modalities, including individual and group therapy. Works independently to assess the needs of, coordinate, and deliver behavioral health services to participants and families/caregivers.Skills and Knowledge Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language and follow written and oral instructions. Must display patience, tact, a positive disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to work with a variety of participants with varying cognitive levels. Individual therapy skills for geriatric participants, analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of the principles of human behavior, individual and group therapy techniques (preferably CBT and DBT), short-term interventions, substance abuse assessment and treatment or willing to receive training. If selected for the position you will receive a full job description.Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredMaster's Degree from an accredited School of Social Work or equivalent if an LPC or LLPCMinimum 2 year experience providing therapy servicesLPC in the State of MI, with current credentials for LPC or with current credentials for LLPC under the direction of a LPC or LMSW in the State of MI. LMSW in the State of MI, or with current credentials for LLMSW under the direction of LMSWMust have a valid MI Drivers License and reliable transportationCPR certification (or be willing to obtain)All employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment criminal background check, professional reference checks, pre-employment physical, and TB Screen at time of hire.
