*Position Title: * Welder*Department*: Parts*Reports to: *Production Manager*Freedom Motors: *At Freedom Motors USA, we convert multiple makes and models of SUVs and Minivans to wheelchair accessible vehicles that advance the lives of those we serve.*General Purpose: *The purpose of the Welder is to utilize ones skills and training to accomplish the assigned tasks in a timely manner while meeting the standards set forth in safety, quality, and productivity.*Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities** Follows and ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures* Follows all OSHA safety regulations, as well as company quality and productivity standards* Ability to operate MIG welder and grinder* Proficient with analyzing and fabricating from drawings, schematics, and sketches* Ability to operate a cutoff wheel, Sawzall and MIG welder* Understanding of functionality and mechanics of a vehicles rear suspension* Use and read both standard and metric measuring devices* Knowledge of welding machine operation, regulating current, and voltage for the proper fusion of metals* Understanding of vehicle mechanics and bodywork* One (1+) years experience welding and fabrication* Mechanically inclined*General Duties* *subject to but not limited to: ** Perform Pre-Inspections of parts when required* Eye for detail* Works well with hands, hand tools, and small power tools* Assist other departments and areas as needed* Assist with trouble shooting issues as needed* Maintain good housekeeping practices in work area* Maintains good attendance* Checking work, and keep your work free of mistakes and errors* Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks/projects at one time*Education, Skills, and Abilities** GED/High School Diploma* Strong attention to detail* Ability to work independently* Good verbal and written communication skills* Lifting 1- 50 lbs. (Occasionally 51-100 lbs.)* Pushing & pulling 1-50 lbs.
