Role Summary To support manufacturing by improving department efficiency in a safe, high quality and productive manner by ensuring die changes are made efficiently, and tools are maintained in a way that leads to effective manufacturing and quality product.

Key Responsibilities Insure quality of all parts produced in assigned work area
Move and set-up dies on bolsters
Perform all external set-up duties as required for presses, including prepare tools, bolts, hoses, lube systems.
Operate crane
Maintain tool inventory at presses for change-overs
Serve as integral part of change-over team; work on each change-over
Maintain dies in organized fashion
Perform minor routine maintenance around presses and dies
Perform preventative maintenance of components
Attain safety, quality and productivity goals
Learn all aspects of all parts produced in assigned work area, including critical quality factors, customer needs, and acceptable standards
Fill in for vacationing and absent employees
Read and operate all appropriate measuring equipment
Attend training as required
Keep accurate records
Encourage safety and housekeeping practices and lead by example
Participate in Continual Improvement activities
Adhere to customer requirements, Business Operating System and company policies
Perform other duties as assigned
Key Qualifications/Requirements Able to demonstrate understanding of how job performance affects product quality and customer satisfaction
Able to work well with others; build and maintain positive employee relations
Able to prepare, read and interpret written reports, instructions, procedures and guidelines
Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, employees, suppliers and customers
Able to maintain confidentiality, and use discretion and tact
Able to manage and schedule multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Able to work flexible hours to be available to three (3) shifts
Able to calculate inch to milometers or milometer to inches
Able to use technology and software as required
Able to operate tow motor
Self-motivated, "can do" attitude
Must be able to understand written instructions
Education and Experience Required
High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred
Prefer technical or trade school
Prefer experience with Die Setting and Tooling
Mechanical background
