Based in the Battle Creek, MI area, you will utilize your analytical expertise and knowledge to solve business questions related to Price, Promotion, and Trade Optimization. Integrating analytics and business intelligence you will influence decision-making and trade promotion planning for today and tomorrow.

HERE'S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Price / Promotion Insights - Building and delivering promotional plan insights you will work to develop best practices. You will leverage price and promotion tools to answer business questions; efficient pricing and promotion strategies. Balancing pricing and trade investment, your goal is to optimize sales and return on investment.

  • Category Team Support - Building relationships and providing analytical insights and recommendations to the category teams on promotions, pricing, and future RGM opportunities.

  • Account Support - Working closely with accounts and central functions you will collect all the required data (promotions, consumption, cost, etc.). Building fact-based sell-in material will be key in enhancing retailer partnership and credibility. Training account teams on how to use post-event tools is an important aspect of this position.

  • Business Analytics - Collaborating with the accounts, you will develop guidelines and re-plan promotions. Your analytical mindset will serve you well as you provide insights that will help the business drive top and bottom-line growth.

  • Communication - Communicating effectively across multiple internal/external customers and building commitments through influence and persuasion will be critical. Translating results into clear, concise presentations and written reports will enable internal and external customers to quickly make decisions.

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience applying analytical tools to business problems
  • Ability to understand and explain complex methodologies and outcomes in ways customers can apply
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with all levels of management and employees
  • Strong presentation and communication skills including experience presenting to senior management are required
  • Excellent project and time management skills are essential
  • Expert knowledge of economic/financial concepts (e.g. price elasticity, pricing thresholds, trade rate, net sales, gross profit)
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Strong understanding of IRI / AC Nielsen scanner data in a CPG environment
  • Strong understanding of POS data

Bonus Points:

  • Master's Degree
  • Trade Promotion Management (TPM) or Business Warehouse (BW) Systems Experience
  • Experience with Category Management, Sales or Sales enabling functions
  • Experience working in a matrix environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
