POSITION SUMMARY SGK is seeking a Designer to join our Battle Creek, MI team. We are seeking someone with a diverse portfolio of work, a posititive attitude and the experience needed to hit the ground running. The Designer's primary focus is translating design concepts and visualizing solutions to develop products and campaigns based upon customer or client needs. This position leverages creative expertise through presentation materials, research, samples, logic and strategy to develop solutions for products and campaigns. The Designer utilizes creative thinking while following brand standards and internal workflows to create designs that meet project deliverables in an efficient manner for our various CPG clients. ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT? * Translating existing and emerging concepts into actual brand and/or product designs?* Integrating images, text, motion, etc. with a great sense of aesthetics, while executing against the brand and/or product vision and the creative brief?DO YOU ENJOY COLLABORATING WITH?* The design team and production department to communicate project deliverables?* Your design team colleagues by presenting ideas, research and trend during creative meetings and brainstorming sessions?DO YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH?* Developing and implementing visual elements or creative concepts for project deliverables?* Creating presentations, mood-boards and proposals based upon project scope?* Conducting market research to stay up-to-date on market trends and new design developments?* Researching, creating and managing content, photography, images, etc. for design projects?WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:* You will attend project meetings to understand concept, timelines, objectives and specifications.* You will recommend improvements in creative design concept, tools, processes and/or assigned tasks to management.* You will support the design team with technical problem solving in the development of design elements and layouts.* You will Act as advisor to Jr Designers through project deliverables.* Additional duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS * Bachelor's Degree in Arts, Design, Advertising, Marketing or related field* 5+ years progressive design experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience* Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.* Ability to provide professional portfolio upon request* High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications Proficient with design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat are a must)* Experience with Flash, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and GIFs, a plus* Experience in usage of social media platforms, including Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, Instagram, Tumblr, Pinterest, etc.* Knowledge/background of e-commerce marketplaces such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, etc. and best practices preferred* Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills* Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning) Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts* Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients* Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment* Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management* Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reportingPHYSICAL ASPECTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT * Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.* Regularly/Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. * Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.* The noise level in the work environment is usually low/moderate.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions.#LI-CPSGK is a global packaging and brand experience company.
