- Please note, during the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Agency is
operating in a maximum telework posture for all telework ready
employees occupying a telework eligible position.
- Serves as technical subject matter expert within the Defense
Logistics Agency (DLA), Information Operations (J6), Program
Executive Office (J62), DSS Portfolio (J62D) for the Warehouse
Management System (WMS) Program.
- Position serves as a Senior Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS)
Application Administrator supporting Windows, Linux and/or
Unix-based client/server or web applications and acts as a member
of the WMS application support team.
- Incumbent is responsible for installing, configuring and
maintaining COTS software applications.
- Knowledge of web services architecture, administration and
design. Knowledge of Windows, Linux and/or Unix operating
systems.
- Ensures product configurations and administrative techniques
meet security requirements and policies established by the Cyber
Security and Information Assurance Office.
- Develops project plans, implementation guidance, and assesses
implementation of information assurance vulnerability alerts and
CERT taskings.
- Applies cyber security expertise to validate that the Warehouse
Management System (WMS) environment is following cyber security
best practices.
- Familiarity with concepts of database design, software testing
and evaluation principles, standards, processes, methods, practices
and tools, analysis and evaluation methods.Travel

announcement.QualificationsA. Specialized Experience: One year of
specialized experience that equipped you with the particular
competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position,
and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the
GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized
experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other
pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector.
Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including
time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only),
time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any
other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the
announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
- Independently analyze plans and carries out the assignments,
coordinates work with others, keeps the team leader and supervisor
informed of progress and of potentially controversial matters, and
resolves all problems and conflicts that arise.
- In-depth knowledge of Risk Management Framework and Information
Assurance policies and guidelines; skill in preparation and
presentation techniques for presenting studies, reports and
briefings.
- Analyzes and Develops Plan of Action and Milestone (POAM)
reports to document applications with non-compliant IA
controls.
- Thorough understanding of operating systems, network
communications and overall system architecture.
- Attention to detail in reviewing documents and providing
feedback on proposed solutions to complex technical problems
regarding security vulnerabilities, log analysis, network
communications and cyber compliance.For all positions individuals
