Lead is responsible for leading and supervising daily Hubs Dept
operations, ensuring the safe, accurate, and timely picking,
labeling, packaging, and shipping of company products. This
leadership role directly impacts customer satisfaction, on-time
delivery performance, and overall company profitability. The Hubs
Lead serves as the primary point of accountability for the Hubs
team performance, workflow coordination, safety compliance,
housekeeping standards, and enforcement of company policies. Key
Responsibilities Lead, direct, and motivate warehouse team members
to achieve daily production and shipping goals Coordinate and
prioritize workflow to meet customer order deadlines and delivery
commitments Schedule warehouse personnel (including overtime) to
maintain service levels and stay “on date” Perform hands-on
warehouse duties as needed to support the team during peak periods
or staffing shortages Enforce company policies, attendance
standards, break protocols, safety rules, and handbook requirements
Administer the daily/weekly ticket incentive program and ensure
fair and consistent application Conduct on-the-job training and
cross-training to maintain high skill levels across the team
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in
compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations Perform
routine equipment checks and coordinate basic maintenance to keep
material handling equipment operational Monitor productivity,
quality, and accuracy of order fulfillment; report issues that may
impact on-time delivery Recommend staffing changes (hiring,
disciplinary action, termination) with approval from Warehouse
Manager and HR Prepare and submit regular productivity and
performance reports to the Warehouse Manager Identify and
communicate needs for additional tools, equipment, or resources to
improve efficiency Ensure proper disposal of waste materials in
accordance with environmental and safety regulations Maintain
accurate records and documentation related to shipments, inventory
movements, and team performance Serve as the primary liaison
between warehouse employee and management Requirements: Performance
Expectations Achieve or exceed targets for revenue per person-hour,
fill rate percentage, and approved overtime usage Consistently meet
or exceed on-time order fulfillment and customer delivery deadlines
Maintain production and shipping costs within or below budgeted
levels Develop and maintain a highly skilled, motivated, and
safety-conscious warehouse team Keep warehouse and production areas
clean, organized, and audit-ready at all times Proactively
communicate any issues that could impact customer delivery to the
Warehouse Manager Demonstrate exemplary personal attendance,
punctuality, and policy adherence (critical leadership expectation)
Enforce company standards related to attendance, breaks, cell phone
usage, vaping/smoking policies, end-of-day cleanup, and daily
production quotas and other assigned standards Education Required:
High School Diploma or GED Preferred: Associate degree or higher in
Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or
related field Experience Required: 1–2 years of experience in a
lead, supervisory, or senior operator role in manufacturing,
warehousing, or distribution (preferably in a company with = $5M
annual revenue) Preferred: 3–4 years of experience as a Warehouse
Lead, Supervisor, or Team Leader in a manufacturing or distribution
environment Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong working knowledge
of warehouse operations, order fulfillment, and inventory movement
Proven ability to lead, coach, and hold team members accountable
Good mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication,
division, fractions, decimals) Proficient in basic computer
applications (email, spreadsheets, company ERP/WMS software)
Certified forklift and/or powered industrial truck operator (or
ability to obtain certification quickly) Excellent verbal and
written English communication skills; ability to present
information clearly in one-on-one and small group settings Spanish
language skills are a plus Strong reasoning and problem-solving
abilities Spatial awareness and good physical coordination Physical
Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to
100% standing, frequent walking) Frequent use of hands and arms for
handling, reaching, and operating equipment Ability to lift, carry,
push, or pull up to 50 lbs regularly Occasional climbing, stooping,
kneeling, crouching, and balancing Close vision, distance vision,
color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to
adjust focus Comfort working in a mixed warehouse/office
environment with variable temperatures, occasional loud noise, and
exposure to moving equipment
