Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Labor and Delivery - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs - Hours: 36 hrs/wk - Start Date: Mar 23, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position on a 15-bed LDRP unit, requiring a minimum of 2 years of OB experience and multi-area coverage including OR circulating and couplet care. Details - 15-bed LDRP unit with 3 triage bays and 2 operating rooms - Patient population includes antepartum, labor and delivery, newborn, and couplet care patients - Staffing ratios follow AWHONN guidelines - RNs work across all areas of the LDRP unit, including OR circulating, scrub nurse, newborn nurse at delivery, and couplet care - EMR: Epic (experience required) - Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30 - Every other weekend required - Floating to the general house as a sitter when needed; may also float to a sister facility approximately 27 miles away when census allows - No on-call responsibilities Requirements - Active MI RN license required - Minimum 2 years of OB, Mother/Baby, and L&D experience required - Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate and/or NCC C-EFM - Preferred certification: AWHONN Advanced - Required skills: OR circulating and fetal heart monitoring (FHM) triage - Preferred skill: scrub nurse experience Additional Information - RNs perform lab draws and newborn hearing screens using the ALGO 5 machine; training provided for hearing screens - Scrubs are provided by the facility - No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the contract - AWHONN Advanced certification is preferred but not required American Traveler Job ID P-676726.
