Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Hours of Job Employment on a
casual basis at the Wound Care Center with Healogics. Duties and
Key Responsibilities Provides direct wound care, assists with
patient intake and discharge processes, and gathers pertinent
patient information and clinical supplies. Participates in the vein
clinic as assigned, following completion of Healogics Vein Clinic
training. Performs hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) duties after
required Healogics HBO training; may also perform hyperbaric safety
director duties upon completion of additional training. May serve
as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) per Healogics policy. Reports
quality of care concerns to the Clinical Nurse Manager and
communicates effectively with the care team to support coordinated,
high-quality care delivery. Additional RN-Specific Duties Serves as
Case Manager for an assigned group of patients, including initial
nursing assessments, communication with physicians, staging and
measurement of wounds, developing and evaluating care plans, and
identifying interventions. Participates in quality improvement
initiatives, provides patient/caregiver education, and advocates
for patients across the continuum of care. Collaborates with other
healthcare providers, Wound Care Center staff, the Program
Director, and Medical Director to address clinic and patient needs.
Performs other related duties as assigned or delegated, based on
licensure and training. Requirements Flexibility in scheduling to
meet department needs. Demonstrated competency in BLS (Basic Life
Support). Demonstrated organization, prioritization and
time-management skills. Basic knowledge of regulatory/accrediting
requirements for healthcare organizations. Strong interpersonal,
listening, as well as oral and written communication skills.
Education/Certifications Graduate of an accredited nursing program:
Practical Nursing Program (for LPN/LVN) or Associate Degree in
Nursing (ADN) for RN. Current, active nursing license in the state
of practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) or Registered
Nurse (RN), to be maintained throughout employment. Bachelor of
Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred for RN candidates.
Medical-Surgical, Home Health, or Wound Care certification
preferred. Experience Wound care experience preferred. Grand Lake
