Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Fort Wayne, IN Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,182 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - Central Registry - Float Profession: RN Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7am to 7pm Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years in Level 1, Level 2, or tertiary care. License: Indiana RN license or compact license required. Certifications: BLS through AHA required. Must-Have: Minimum of 1 year of MedSurg experience in a facility with over 600 beds. Description: The position involves providing nursing care to a diverse population of patients with varying diagnoses. Patients may have chronic illnesses such as COPD, Diabetes, Chronic Heart Failure, and end-stage renal disease. The role includes managing gastrointestinal issues, infections, and neurological issues. We also care for patients with mental health disorders including depression and anxiety. Nursing duties include assessments, care planning, inter-professional communication, and utilizing electronic health records. Required skills include IV therapy management, care planning, and wound management. The equipment utilized includes electronic health records systems, IV pumps, telemetry monitoring, and blood glucose monitoring devices. Patient ratios are typically 1:5-6. Ohio license or compact license required. Candidates must complete supplemental training prior to beginning their role. The role requires flexibility to float to other medical units as needed. 3 weekend shifts are required within a 4-week schedule. Candidates may also be required to adapt to different medical and surgical procedures based on patient needs.
