Job Description Job Description Nursing degree, active
registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience
required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not
be considered. This position is for a registered nurse specializing
in step-down care for general medical and oncology patients. The
role involves delivering complex nursing care including
administering chemotherapy via IV, starting IVs, and utilizing
specialized equipment such as Welch Allyn Vital Sign Towers, Sigma
IV Pumps, and EPIC for documentation. Candidates must possess
either ONCC or ONS certification and hold a Michigan RN license
along with BLS (AHA) certification. Qualifications and Experience:
Active Michigan RN License BLS (AHA) certification ONCC or ONS
certification (must be current and in hand) Minimum 2 years of
experience in PCU/Step-down nursing Proficiency in chemotherapy
administration via IV and IV starts Comfortable using Welch Allyn
Vital Sign Towers, Sigma IV Pumps, and EPIC electronic health
records Responsibilities: Provide high-quality nursing care to gen
med/oncology step-down patients Administer chemotherapy treatments
and manage associated protocols Start and maintain IV lines for
multiple patients Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to
ensure patient care excellence Float to other medical-surgical
areas including Acute Units and Emergency Room as needed Maintain
patient assignments typically with a nurse-to-patient ratio of
1:4-6, adjusted for admitting chemotherapy patients Follow block
scheduling arrangements when applicable and adhere to
manager-assigned weekend shifts Schedule/Hours: Day shift hours:
07:00 19:30, 3 shifts per week Weekend shifts every other weekend,
assigned by management Self-scheduling available for non-weekend
days Location: Situated in Kalamazoo, Michigan, this position
