Minimum 2 years in a Level I trauma center License: State nursing
license required Certifications: ACLS, BCLS by AHA, PALS, TNCC, NIH
required Must-Have: - Level I trauma experience - Interpretation
and management of dysrhythmias - Epic charting experience
Description: Local candidates are accepted. Same pay for locals.
RTO must be submitted at the time of submission; no additional RTO
will be approved later. High patient-to-nurse ratios can range from
1:5-6, and may go up to 8 depending on patient volume and holidays.
The traveler must agree to work three weekends (Friday to Sunday)
in a four-week schedule. The traveler must acknowledge high patient
ratios. The unit accepts first-time travelers. Continuous IV
sedation and procedural sedation administration experience is
preferred. Triage experience is preferred. The emergency department
handles a range of patient ages including adolescents, infants,
adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census includes
approximately 250 patients. Additional support services include IV
teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation
services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response
teams, pharmacy, and transportation. Special equipment or
procedures specific to this unit may be required. Documentation due
date is the Tuesday prior to the start date. A nursing license must
be active by the start date. Compact licenses are not accepted.
Certifications may not be pending beyond the contract start.
Modules are self-reported and must be completed before commencing
