Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 02/02/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - OR Job Details: • Assess surgical patient needs and develop individualized care plans before and during procedures • Implement and evaluate care plans during surgical procedures with patient safety as priority • Supervise operating room activities and coordinate schedule changes • Assemble equipment and supplies for surgical procedures • Assist anesthesia personnel as necessary and monitor sterile field • Communicate with patients, families, physicians, OR team, and ancillary departments • Provide leadership to the OR team throughout surgical procedures • Participate in staff development through preceptorship and continuing education • Work every other weekend schedule • No on-call responsibilities required • Minimum 2 years of RN OR experience required • Level 2 trauma experience required • Must be proficient in Ortho, Vascular, Neuro, Gen/Gyn, and Urology procedures • Recent travel work experience highly preferred • BLS (AHA) certification required • Active Michigan nursing license required • Skills checklist current within one year required • Two supervisory reference forms completed within last two years required Facility: This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive medical center providing advanced surgical services and trauma care.
