ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Neuro Job Details: • Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM • 72 guaranteed hours bi-weekly • 13-week assignment duration • Maximum of 1 week RTO allowed • Holidays and every other weekend required • Voluntary call responsibilities • Floating to other units required • Care for higher acuity med-surg patients with diagnoses including stroke, seizures, post-op neuro surgeries, level 2 trauma patients, and level 1 trauma post-ICU care • Manage patients with DKA, renal failure, and general post-op care • 24-bed unit with 5:1 or 6:1 patient ratio • Required certifications: NIHSS, ACLS, BLS • Indiana RN license required • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required • Must demonstrate expertise in neuro assessments, critical thinking skills, drain management, post-surgical care, chest tube management, and groin site management post-IR • EMR system: Cerner preferred • Must reside greater than 50 miles from facility Facility: This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive medical facility offering specialized neurological and medical-surgical services.
