Certifications: BLS (AHA) required (accepting pending applications)
Must-Have: - Rotational weekend availability required - Ability to
work with a variety of staff including RNs, LPNs, and Techs -
Willingness to float to other Med Surgical units - Preference for
candidates with medical/surgical experience Description: A start in
January is preferred, but starts in February may be considered.
Must be available for the first two weeks of assignment for
orientation. 36 or 48 hour workweeks available. Floating to other
units will be required based on needs, typically once per week.
Weekend shifts will be every other weekend. Staffing ratios for
night shifts are 1:5-6, but may flex to 7-8 patients. In such
cases, RNs will be paired with LPNs for support. Candidates will
encounter a mix of medical patients and specialty cases, including
orthopedic, neurovascular, cardiopulmonary, GI surgical, urology,
hysterectomies, and mastectomies. All lab work should be completed
within 48-72 hours of signing the contract. Documentation of flu
vaccination is a requirement, with medical exemptions considered.
If seeking an exemption, it must be submitted promptly. Modules are
non-billable and are completed during the orientation process and
annually thereafter. References are required for submission.
