License: Valid RN License Certifications: BLS (AHA) - will accept
pending, must confirm willingness to obtain Must-Have: Must be
available for the entire week of orientation Must float to other
Medical Surgical units Must work every other weekend Must be
willing to work with a variety of staff (i.e., RN, LPN, Techs,
etc.) Cannot guarantee or approve block scheduling at this time
Only one holiday request allowed and only one day or one
evening/day after, not both Preference for candidates with 2 years
of Medical Surgical experience Description: Position requires
working with a mix of medical patients. The unit specializes in
ortho/neurovascular, cardio/pulmonary, GI, urology, hysterectomies,
and mastectomies. Staffing ratio for nights is 1:5-6. Ratios may
flex to 8 patients, but the RN will be paired with an LPN for
support in these instances. All staff work closely with various
disciplines, including RNs, LPNs, and Techs. Floating may occur
based on unit needs and typically happens once per week.
