Job Description:

Responsible for all financial aspects of a GWS account with sites in multiple countries. Financial responsibilities are from both a CBRE corporate and client perspective for facility management and project management services. Key member of the account's senior leadership team, ensuring the financial impacts of all key strategies and decisions are considered. Establish and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external clients. Effectively work within the matrix reporting environment with account Alliance Director, GWS Regional Finance, Corporate Accounting, and Project Accounting to meet all finance and accounting requirements and deliverables. Work with our CBRE regional finance teams outside of the US to establish and maintain appropriate financial acumen and processes to ensure global financial results for the account are reported timely and accurately. FINANCE FOCUS: * Responsible for the timely delivery of monthly financial reports, including site-level forecasting and detailed variance analysis of client FM operating expenses. Lead monthly regional financial review calls with client finance and operations staff. * Communicate account financial results to Alliance Director, GWS Regional Finance, and Division leadership. Prepare monthly forecast updates and variance analysis. * Responsible for all budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning & analysis functions ? both client and corporate. * Manage client's annual cost savings initiatives program. * Review and approve all ad hoc financial requests (client and corporate) to ensure requests are appropriate, consistent with contractual scope of work, and current staffing levels are adequate to deliver on such requests. * Responsible for scorecard reporting and metrics, value savings initiative tracking, monitoring, reporting, and communication of KPI performance. * Maintain, develop, and improve all financial systems, tools, and processes. Provide training to staff and account operations team as needed. ACCOUNTING FOCUS: * Manage and oversee all general accounting functions. Ensure that standard accounting policies, practices, and procedures are implemented and working effectively. Monitor and evaluate all accounting processes to ensure continuous improvement. * Manage client's day-to-day and month-end close processes, including reviewing preliminary financial results, reviewing open PO/WO activity, and preparing accrual and reclass entries. * Ensure the timely and accurate preparation and submission of invoices to client. Manage account A/R aging. * Maintain comprehensive knowledge of contract terms, establish control procedures to ensure contract compliance and readiness for audits. * Responsible for account financial operations including payroll, vendor payables, client invoicing, job costing, and revenue recognition. * Work with CBRE Corporate Accounting on all day-to-day and month-end accounting procedures to ensure timely and accurate reporting of P&L and balance sheet activity. OPERATIONAL FOCUS: * Partner with AD and account operations team to continually refine current business processes to improve productivity and communication. Drive and track the efficiencies reducing service delivery cost. * Partner with AD and client on overall financial priorities and ensure financial data is delivered timely and accurately in order to meet client's needs. * Work to identify and mitigate financial and operational risks. * Work with Sourcing Group to ensure vendor contract compliance. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: * Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively with clients, staff, peers, and senior managers using appropriate and preferred methods. * Effectively interact with management, employees, auditors, client etc. and respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. * Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. * Write reports, manuals, and training materials using distinctive style. * Ability to create and effectively deliver presentations to staff, account operations team, senior managers, and clients * Ability to motivate and work collaboratively with business partners, key employees, top management, and client groups on various projects. * Bachelor's degree or equivalent to appropriate 4-year college program. * MBA or CPA preferred but not required (depending on experience). * 7+ years of finance / accounting experience including supervisory. Comprehensive technical knowledge and understanding of finance and accounting functions, theory, and practice. * Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and work with a team, train personnel, and handle complex employee issues confidentially and fairly. Experience managing remote employees is a plus. * Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment in making decisions and resolving complex problems related to general and technical aspects of the job. Decisions made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve general results. * Ability to manage multiple priorities with high flexibility and rapid response time. Strong work ethic, proactive, and adaptable. * Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, critical thinking and creative problem solving. * Experience with commercial real estate, service outsourcing, or working in a client-dedicated environment is strongly preferred. * Global finance / accounting experience preferred but not required. COMPUTER TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: * Highly proficient with Microsoft office applications, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with Microsoft Access or other database packages is a preferred. * Experience with financial accounting software packages: Oracle Financials, PeopleSoft Financials, JD Edwards, etc.SDL2017
