We are hiring for an InPlant Manager based at our client site located in Battle Creek, MI. This is a 1st shift position.

Essential Job Functions:

• Primary Sun Chemical liaison with the customer leadership team daily
• Measure and manage operational performance and provide direction/leadership to Sun assigned ink technicians
• Coordinate consistent processes, metrics and operational procedures between locations
• Deploy continuous improvement techniques for operational enhancement
• Development of InPlant staff through OJT
• Strong press-side technical service capability. Troubleshoot problems and keep site informed through detailed and consistent technical reporting
• Provide first level on-site support for print quality issues, ink formula optimization and product trials. Coordinate advanced CTS support for trials and customer training
• Maintain detailed production, formula, and QC records to insure operational effectiveness
• Maintain and support customer schedule through production coordination
• Manage the InPlant supply line for multiple product lines
• Submit monthly VOC and Job billing documents, generated thru customer and InPlant management systems
• Maintain the highest housekeeping and safe operating standards, ensuring that all EHS, OSHA and DOT requirements are met in accordance with Federal, State and Corporate guidelines
• Maintain monthly and weekly reporting for KPI's, Downtime tracking, etc.
• Coordinate with Sales, CTS and customer periodic technical review meetings utilizing Technical Action Plan
  
  Position Requirements
  
  Qualifications:
  
  • College degree in business or equivalent experience
  • 5-10 years industry experience
  • Knowledge of MS Office and SAP
  • Strong pressroom, printing, ink dispenser and software experience
    Preferred:
    
    • Six Sigma and/or Green Belt
      Shift:
      
      • 1st shift
        Drug screen and background check are mandatory if you are offered this position.
