Grand Rapids $27-32/hour Plastics Industry Job Description This
position is for a 3rd shift Maintenance Technician, with working
hours from 10:50 PM to 7:30 AM, Sunday through Thursday, with
potential work on Saturdays. The role involves performing a variety
of mechanical repairs on plastic injection presses and assembly
equipment. Perform mechanical repairs on laser sensors, cylinders,
pneumatic valves, hot plate welders, light curtains, proximity
sensors, heater probes, pin stamps on assembly equipment, pressure
switches, bowl feeders on assembly equipment, and air compressors
ranging from 100-150 horsepower. Conduct repairs on Arburg,
Millicron, and Zhafir molding machines. Perform preventative
maintenance on molding machines, peripheral equipment, compressors,
dryers, and general building equipment. Assist in troubleshooting
and resolving machinery and facility problems. Read and understand
operational information, instructions, timing charts, and flow
charts to diagnose and troubleshoot problems. Hook up and view
programs to understand machine sequences without needing to make
program changes. Focus on load cells, intelligent actuators,
troubleshooting vision systems, automated screw guns, bowl
feeding/blow feeding, variable frequency drives (VFDs), laser
printers, and proximity sensors. Essential Skills Experience with
hydraulics, pneumatics, and machine repair. Ability to troubleshoot
machines and electrical components. Proficiency in mechanical and
electrical maintenance. Experience in PLC troubleshooting and
robotic programming. 5 years of experience as a maintenance
technician. 5 years of experience repairing and troubleshooting
hydraulics and pneumatics. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Plastics experience is a must. Experience with process verification
on plastic injection cells. Knowledge of robotic automation and
editing software. Ability to troubleshoot PLC software to determine

Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI. Pay and
Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $32.00/hr.
