Job Description:
Position: Elementary Intervention Specialist Reports to:
Elementary School Principal Qualifications: Valid State Department
of Education licensure/certificate Successful completion of Ohio’s
Introduction to the Science of Reading/Dyslexia Professional
Development courses. Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Knowledge of federal and state special education laws and
compliance (IDEA, IEP requirements) Experience developing,
implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs
(IEPs) Strong collaboration skills for working with general
education teachers, related service providers, and families Develop
and implement lesson plans that meet state standards and district
curriculum goals. Provides opportunities for all students to
participate in an inclusive educational environment. Utilize and
incorporate technology into lesson planning and instruction.
Conduct screening and intervention procedures, assess their
outcomes, and analyze the results. Use a data-driven approach to
analyze assessments and alter/enhance lesson plans. Evaluate
students’ academic needs and learning styles to identify
opportunities for enhanced learning. Use formal and informal
assessment strategies to monitor progress and provide meaningful,
actionable feedback. Facilitate activities that promote teamwork,
collaboration, and positive peer relationships. Be willing to
participate in extracurricular activities and/or after school
events. Embody high ethical standards, integrity, and
confidentiality in all professional conduct. Demonstrate a passion
and desire to teach and inspire the students of Archbold Schools.

Per Salary Schedule, Based on Experience and Degree (0 experience
