Weekend/Holiday: False Job Description: The Early Childhood Teacher
I supports an assigned classroom, working with children ranging
from birth to 5 years. This role provides hands-on care and
assistance to ensure each child’s safety, health, and well-being
while promoting growth across cognitive, physical, social, and
emotional domains. The Teacher I helps implement developmentally
appropriate, play-based lessons, observes and supports children’s
progress, and partners with families to encourage learning.
Collaboration with lead teachers, other educators, and
administrators is essential to maintain a positive and inclusive
learning environment. Key Responsibilities • Assist lead teachers
with planning and implementing developmentally appropriate,
play-based lessons. • Support children’s safety, health, and
well-being throughout the day. • Help maintain organized, engaging,
and safe learning environments. • Observe children’s development
and assist with documentation and assessments. • Partner with
families through regular communication to support learning and
growth • Collaborate with educators and administrators to foster a
nurturing, inclusive classroom. • Assist with health, hygiene, and
safety routines. • Support classroom management by modeling
positive behaviors and encouraging self-confidence. • Help maintain
classroom materials, learning centers, and shared spaces. • Assist
in compliance with Ohio licensing rules and documentation
requirements. Minimum Qualifications: • Must be 18 years of age and
possess a H.S. diploma or GED equivalent. • 60 semester hours of
Early Childhood Education at the college level, or experience
working with young children in a child care setting required. •
Must have or obtain the following trainings within 3 months of
employment: Infant & Child First Aid & CPR, Common Childhood
Communicable Disease, Recognition and Prevention of Child Abuse. •
Shall not have any convictions of child abuse or crimes involving
moral turpitude. • Must have a fingerprint check by the Federal
Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Bureau of Criminal Investigation
(BCI). • Strength in creating inclusive partnerships with children,
families and colleagues. • Ability to supervise and interact with
children outdoors for extended periods of varied weather
conditions. Preferred Qualifications: Associate degree in early
childhood education or a closely related field, or Child
Development Associate (CDA) Credential preferred. Conditions of
