Job Title: Accounting Coordinator
Location: Battle Creek, MI
About Us: Our Client is a dynamic and growing organization located in Battle Creek, Michigan. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Coordinator to join the Accounting team.
Job Summary: The Accounting Coordinator will play a critical role in our finance department, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities, including accounts payable and receivable processing, financial data entry, reconciliation of accounts, and providing support to the finance team as needed. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest level of financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Perform data entry for financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and journal entries.
  • Reconcile bank statements and financial records to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Generate financial reports and summaries as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements.
  • Maintain organized and well-documented financial records.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial discrepancies and answer inquiries.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Stay current with accounting regulations and best practices.
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
    • 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
    • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
      Preferred Qualifications:
      • Experience with Manufacturing or Service is preferred
